Free Strokes (full, medium, tap)

  • 40 bpm set to quarter notes

  • 4 hits on the RH/LH, 8 hits on the RH/LH, 12 hits on the RH/LH, 16 hits on the RH/LH, keep adding four hits to each hand until you’ve cycled through either 5 or 10 times

  • Make sure that your arms don’t move from the “V” position and it’s just your wrists that move for the free stroke

Groove Freedom

  • Pp 4-8

  • Aim for perfection, work your way towards bpm goals on top of page

  • Go to page 9 once you’re comfortable with page 8


  • Work on playing whole song through at 80 bpm

  • This is so you can slow down and work on getting through transitions at slower tempos, which will make it smoother when you start playing it faster
